The Team at Escape are dedicated to ensuring that you get the best possible African Experience.
In the UK there is a small team of people who deal with any questions and queries that you may have about the trip, bookings, payments or general info on anything you may encounter whilst on your Expedition with us. They have a wealth of knowledge and information at their finger tips to ensure you get everything you need quickly and without fuss. We are on hand to help supply any information or direction that you feel will help with the organisation and participation of your trip.
The Team on the ground in Africa are a well experienced and capable group of travel enthusiasts with many years experience overlanding in Africa, South America and the Middle East. They love the African outdoor experience and are ready and willing to impart their great enthusiasm and love of this wonderful place with you. The team have a fantastic knowledge of the local flora and fauna that may be encountered and although they are not ‘experts’ they are well versed with the local cultures, customs and people of the areas traveled through and will be willing to share their knowledge with you.
On every trip we have a qualified Mechanic / Driver who accompanies the trip in the support vehicle and they take care of the day to day running and welfare of the vehicles. We also have a couple of experienced bush chefs who will ensure the food is of excellent quality and that the diet is varied and healthy.
The trip is group participation. You will have the opportunity to help with the cooking and shopping along the way, push a little if we get stuck! You will also be provided with tent which will be your home on the nights we camp and responsibility for the duration of the trip.
We use top quality MSR Mutha Hubba 3 man tents for our trips (for two people). An excellent all-weather tent of superior quality. It has the latest Ripstop features, bathtub ground sheet and a Footprint ground sheet too. The tent can be erected without the Fly sheet or just the Fly sheet and footprint giving greater flexibility in hot weather conditions. Our tents are very light and simple to erect even if you are alone.
